Frequently Asked Questions!

Absolutely! While one class alone can’t capture the full magic of the SpeaksCraft 4-in-1 program, we do offer a Discovery Class as the perfect way to try it out.
🌟 How it works:
💡 To book a Discovery Class, simply head to our Timetable Page, pick your preferred location, choose Discovery Class (in-person or online), and register.
At SpeaksCraft, we don’t just put children on stage with a microphone. Real communication is more than that; it’s the art and craft of speaking with confidence, creativity, and impact.
Our program is built to help children inform, persuade, influence, and entertain in ways that go beyond competitions. We focus on skills that last a lifetime, from clear expression to critical thinking and audience connection.
What makes us special is our role-model coaches, who inspire children and bring out their very best through encouragement and practice. Combined with our proven 4-in-1 curriculum (public speaking, debating, drama, and creative writing), we give kids the tools to shine at school, in friendships, and future leadership opportunities.
With over 8 years of results and hundreds of success stories, SpeaksCraft (Formerly known as Talent Club Australia) is not just another class, it’s a community where children grow into confident, expressive, and resilient communicators.
We offer three exciting ways for your child to build confidence and communication skills:

Every child has their own journey with confidence. Some take a little longer to find their voice — and that’s perfectly normal. At SpeaksCraft, we partner with parents to gently guide children so they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to speak up. Here’s how we approach it, and how you can support your child at home:
Partner with Parents – We run sessions every term to help parents model confidence-building at home.
Understand Their Shyness – Some kids need time, others feel anxious. Patience matters more than pressure.
Use Positive Language – Avoid labels like “shy.” Instead, say “They like to think before speaking.”
Show the Benefits – Remind your child how speaking up helped them — at sport, in class, or with friends.
Practise Together – Role-play everyday situations. Our classes make practice fun through games and stories.
Celebrate Wins – Every small step is progress. A smile, a cheer, or a simple “That was brave” builds momentum.
Absolutely! 🌟 Public speaking is one of the most important (and often feared) life skills, even adults feel anxious about it. That’s why we’ve designed our online classes to make learning safe, fun, and confidence-building for children, especially those who are shy.
Our live (never recorded) online classes give every child the chance to practise in real time with a supportive coach and peers. With gentle encouragement, shy children quickly find their voice and start speaking up in ways that surprise even their parents!
Through our 4-in-1 online program, students develop skills in:
By blending speaking, drama, writing, and debating, we create a safe space where every child, even the quietest, can learn to express themselves with confidence. Parents often tell us their child goes from whispering to wanting to lead the class! 💬✨
ASCA stands for the Australian Speech Communication Association – the peak body for speech and communication learning in Australia. Our entire SpeaksCraft program is built on ASCA’s guidelines to help children develop strong speaking, listening, and confidence skills.
After around two terms of classes, we encourage students to sit for an ASCA exam. To prepare, we run special focus group sessions led by our Australian-trained coaches.
Children who complete the exam receive an official ASCA Certificate, which is nationally recognised and even acknowledged by many Australian universities. It’s a wonderful way for students to celebrate their progress, build confidence, and achieve a milestone that stays with them.

Life happens! If your child misses a class, we offer:
We’ll always help ensure your child keeps progressing.
We keep our classes intentionally small and interactive, with 6–10 students per group. This size ensures that:
✅ Every child gets the chance to speak, perform, and participate in every session.
✅ Coaches can provide individual feedback and guidance, tailored to each child’s needs.
✅ Students still enjoy the benefits of teamwork, debates, and group activities, learning how to collaborate and communicate in a supportive environment.
✅ Shy or quieter students feel safe and encouraged to step up, while confident students are challenged to grow further.
This balance helps us maintain the right mix of personal attention and group energy, which is key to building confidence and communication skills.
All our coaches are experienced, locally-trained educators and performers with experience in teaching children. They are not teachers, they are mentors who know how to encourage, motivate, and inspire even the shyest kids. Every coach is carefully vetted and inducted into the SpeaksCraft method and committed to helping children grow in confidence. Check out our coaches profile here
